LexiB Kitchen: Help Yourself To A Slice Of Humble Pie…No, Seriously

humble-pie-recipeDid you know there was a such thing as humble pie?

Maybe I’m the last to find out but I thought humble pie was merely a common expression and not something you can bake in an oven.

While there are several variations of humble pie, the one I selected was a custard-style dessert and can easily satisfy any sweet tooth tingle!

And what’s so great about this recipe is that most of the items are probably sitting in your kitchen right now ready to become a part of your possible next favorite dessert dish.

And it helps that it’s super easy too.

Try out my tweaking of a traditional humble pie.

HUMBLE PIE

Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter, melted
2 TBSP flour
2 TBSP vinegar
1 TBSP vanilla extract
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a bowl, mix all of your ingredients and pour into the pie shell. Bake for 45 minutes.

And that’s it.

To indulge in this pie, it could only be a humbling experience.

ENJOY!
